May 2022
This May, several volunteers came together to build a new re-route of Trickster around private property. The re-route required a boardwalk across a swamp and a short section of machine-built trail through aspen forest. Funding was provided by the Bulkley Valley Community Foundation (BVCF) and was used towards purchasing materials for the boardwalk and the cost of contracting a small excavator.
The new boardwalk is approximately 70 m long and crosses a forested bog. Additionally, about 130 m of new dirt trail was completed to connect the boardwalk to the already existing trail network.
Thank you to the many volunteers that came out to help with the build. Signage is coming soon. Look for continued upgrades on the trail network!
